Abstract	Concluding its four-part series on the Battle of Stalingrad, Army University Press is proud to present Stalingrad: The Grain Elevator. This film highlights the conflict between the German Sixth Army and the Soviet 62nd Army in Southern Stalingrad during September 1942. The battle for Stalingrad devolved into a desperate street-by-street struggle for survival, as exemplified by the week-long confrontation for a massive grain elevator located near the Volga River. Our documentary examines this tactical fight while highlighting doctrinal concepts such as the importance of key terrain, the impact of leading from the front, and the inherent dangers of unit linkups.
